have you found error messages "the device is not ready" . these happen because one of the following errors occured. 1. the drive is empty 2. the drive door is open and 3. the drive is in use.

do one of the following 1. insert a floppy disk in the drive and retry the command. 2 . close the drive door and retry the command 3. wait until the device available then retry the command.
